Tuesday Morning Meditations

Welcome to my newest blog site … trandymay.com. I encourage you to visit it often as I will be posting daily. The primary focus of my posts will be in the area of Personal Growth and Development, and will spill over into the Growth and Development of my Internet Networking Experiences.

Today is Tuesday, May 1st. …

Today, Steve Gaghagen took us back to the first Tuesday Morning Meditation he had presented. It was a very simple, but powerful, focus on mindfulness through breathing. It was a great exercise for me.

Sylvia Boorstein was quoted, “Mindfulness is the aware, balanced acceptance of the present experience. It isn’t more complicated than that. It is opening to or receiving the present moment, pleasant or unpleasant, just as it is, without either clinging to it or rejecting it”.

Needless to say, for me, without the use of meditative breathing, I don’t believe I would have been able to experience any form of mindfulness at all. With the help of the guided meditation this morning, I did experience mindfulness and I was and am now motivated to take action in those areas of today that need my attention.

I need to grow Spiritually, Mentally and Physically today … not only in my personal arena but also in my business arena. when I began my morning, I was somewhat focused, but my mind really wanted to wonder around, even after Tools To Life session and compiling and organizing my To_Do list for today.

Taking the time then, to sit quietly, with my attention upon my breathing, I was able to, after several minutes, allow my mind to focus, wonder off a little, but then bring it back to my breathing. After a period of cycles of this, I became aware that those wondering off periods were fewer and farther between! This, my friends, was how I experienced “Mindfulness” today and I will strive to practice this each day from now on.

You see, I’m sure that if I can begin, in the earlier part of each day, with an experience of mindfulness, I’m sure that the rest of me day will be much more manageable, focused and successful, no matter which arena of my life I am living in at the time.

Drop back again and see how my journey is progressing. If you would like to comment on this post, please do. Comments are always appreciated!
