Blissful Deep Relaxation …

Welcome to my newest blog site … trandymay.com. I encourage you to visit it often as I will be posting daily. The primary focus of my posts will be in the area of Personal Growth and Development, and will spill over into the Growth and Development of my Internet Networking Experiences.

Hi everyone, hope you are having as Great of day as I am! Today was Tuesday Morning Meditation at Morning Motivator. Steve Gaghagen began today’s session with a short overview of the origins of meditation, the purpose of meditation, the wide range of societies and groups that historically have used meditation and most importantly, what we ourselves can do to use this marvelous tool to enhance and expand our conscience lives. Thanks to Steve for his presentation and leadership in today’s Morning Motivator!

Meditation is hard for me to write about, I think mostly because if I am doing it accurately, my mind and body get so relaxed, all I can really remember is that state of peaceful relaxation that I experienced … all else, thoughts, worries, concerns, excuses, complaints, etc., they are totally absent when I meditate. I like to go to this place! Wow, how energized and uplifted I feel. I wonder if this is the way a shirt, lets say, feels after having a long soak in a tub of warm, soapy water, then is gently rinsed out and hung up on a clothes line in the warm sunshine? Do you get the picture?

Steve reminded us that thoughts are really nothing unless you empower them. He suggested that our brain and our mind are not the same thing. That statement drew me to analyzing that concept. My brain is an organ, similar to a muscle in our bodies, that needs to be exercised to remain healthy. Our mind is a tool that we can use to do this exercise … does that make sense?

We all get so wrapped up in this exercising, usually conscienceless most of the time, we began to get weighted down by the process. I can
see where regular and consistent meditation is a great tool for us to use to calm the mind and give the brain a little time to “soak in the tub”, similar to the shirt. After a good soak, there is nothing better for my brain than to absorb all the wonderful energy from the power of the universe, just like the shirt hanging out in the sun, revitalizing itself to be able to perform the purpose for which it was designed. Gosh, I think I like being a shirt!

Anyway guys, find a way to calm your mind and give your brain a break. If you are interested in resources regarding guided meditations from Steve, let me know and I’ll hook you up!

As Always … Have A Great & Refreshing Day!

  1. Randy, I love reading your post and always look forward to the next one (I subscribed so I don’t miss any of them). Your words bring out the passion and compassion in you and they truely inspire me. As I read, the hair on my arms stand up and eyes water. Keep writing my friend.
