Good Day Everyone … It’s Friction Free Friday!

I’m a little late getting this post published … It’s Friday and I had to get rid of some friction! Have you ever experienced a day or days when you knew something was just not quite right … but you couldn’t put your finger on it? I’ve had plenty of them! My guess is, it is a pretty natural experience and I bet we would be hard pressed to find anyone that hasn’t had this experience. The big question then is, … what can or do we do about it?

Today on the Morning Motivator, Janet Legere began the session with a quote by Saul Alinsky, “Change means movement. Movement means friction. Only in the frictionless vacuum of a nonexistent abstract world can movement or change occur without that abrasive friction of conflict.” Ok, what the heck did Saul just say? I think he said that unless we live in a nonexistent abstract world, we can not have change without some form of friction … I can understand that!

All week we have been discussing the issues of change in our thinking, getting our focus directed to the positive and throwing out the negatives … preparing our thoughts for that universal law of attraction to kick in. Janet said one thing that really stuck with me today … she said “whether we accept and believe in the law of attraction has absolutely no bearing on the law itself” … the fact is, this universal law is active and in force at all times, period!

As we peered into this issue of friction and change, and as we considered this universal law of attraction, it became quite evident to me that prior to me making any changes in the way I was thinking, I would naturally experience some of this friction and quite frankly, I have been experiencing it, I just didn’t have a name for it! I had it going on this morning, as a matter of fact.

Just prior to the session, I was chatting with Janet about wanting to get her opinion on something that I was experiencing in my thought process … I needed to make a decision about which way I was going to go in a situation and my inner voice had been telling me for weeks what my solution was, but I was also afraid to make that decision without running it by someone I considered to have good judgement. Well, Janet said to me, “well fancy that … it’s what we are talking about today on TMM …my inner being communicates through emotion”!

Well, I suggested I’d hold off on our conversation until after TMM, and sure enough, I found what I was looking for, without any further consultation. Imagine that! During the session, I heard this question. “Is what you are thinking in line with what you are feeling?” there was the answer! I had an emotion already attached to my thought regarding my little quandary, I just wasn’t paying full attention to it … I wasn’t having faith in myself … I wanted reassurance from another person, but I found I didn’t really need to do anything more than listen to my inner voice and do what I needed and wanted to do.

What I learned today is this. Change will always be accompanied by some form of friction. The friction is like a “Yellow Light” … a little warning signal … here Randy, take a closer look at this issue … the answer is right here, you just need to focus on it a little bit and your solution will be easily detected. Well, guess what. I didn’t need to chat with Janet any further about that issue. I focused upon getting my thinking in line with my feeling and knew exactly what to do, and then I did it. Friction Gone! I just had to have some faith in my inner guidance system and act as my inner voice had been telling me to for days upon days. I will be paying a lot more attention to the “Yellow Lights” from now on …

Tomorrow I will be back with another post, sharing what I have learned and experienced today … If you would like to comment on this post, please do, they are always appreciated!

Here is a cute little video you may enjoy entitled “Friction”
