The Holidays Are ABout Sharing

We all seem to find those “sharing” feelings each year around this time. The holiday season is rapidly approaching and our mental focus will naturally lock in on the gifts that we all want to receive and to give to other people in our lives. We begin the season by giving thanks for all of our blessings … that culminates in a wonderful celebration gathering with friends and family on a day we refer to as Thanksgiving.

Then, we move into the physical giving of gifts as a reenactment of an historical event that takes place in modern christian practice. The day we culminate the gift giving is referred to as Christmas!

Even though these two celebrations are the predominant focus for most of us this time of year, there are other needs in our society that are equally as important.

I have a good friend that I have known for nearly 5 years that is now experiencing a medical trauma in her life that for me, exceeds the annual holiday season’s focus in my mind. My friend has two young girls and a husband and needs the help of anyone that can “catch the spirit of giving” just a little early this year!

Please use the following link to get a better understanding of what I am wanting to say and then look deep into your hearts and find a gift, no matter how large or small, that you can share with her.
