Fidgety Friday … Really?
Welcome to my newest blog site … trandymay.com. I encourage you to visit it often as I will be posting daily. The primary focus of my posts will be in the area of Personal Growth and Development, and will spill over into the Growth and Development of my Internet Networking Experiences.
Good morning! What a great way to begin my weekend than with Janet Legere and discussing that little restlessness we sometimes experience. Janet quoted Lyman Lloyd Bryson, “We are restless because of incessant change, but we would be frightened if change were stopped”.
Fidgety Friday … what, only on Friday? No, I find some fidgety feelings most every day, not just on Friday, but I just realized, this is a very natural thing, especially if you really grasp the context of Bryson’s quote. Life is incessantly changing, with or without me. If I am “in the game”, I’m going to have to get used to these changes and the fact that some changes come when I’m not prepared for them, some come when I’ve diligently been working on them, seemingly forever, and some just show up, from out of thin air!
No matter when or how these changes come, I need to remember to be grateful and thankful that life is full of changes! How would I feel if the changes in life just stopped? Yikes! Talk about restlessness, that would be overwhelming to me.
If you want to achieve success in your life, you need to get out of your comfort zone and do something differently. When I feel restless of fidgety, I need to recognize the feelings, let go of any negatives, calm my mind and choose my thoughts.
So, when I feel fidgety, I know that change is near and I can either fear it because it is unknown to me at that exact moment, or I can embrace the feeling like a little boy, just getting ready to open that biggest gift under the tree on Christmas morning! What will you do when you feel fidgety?
