Getting To Know Me

Welcome to my blog site … trandymay.com, Super Blog! I encourage you to visit it often as I intend be posting daily. The primary focus of my posts will be in the area of Personal Growth and Development, and will spill over into the Growth and Development of my Internet Networking Experiences.

Hi, I’m Randy May

I am semi-retired from 39+ years in the Insurance & Real Estate business in a small, rural Nebraska town. My grand father started our agency in 1918 and passed it on to my father & mother, who then sold it to me. I began my career in 1972 after having spent more years than I would like to acknowledge in college at Nebraska Wesleyan University, located in Lincoln, Nebraska, the capitol city, beginning in June of 1965. I had spent 107 days of my senior year in high school, in three different hospitals, recovering from a badly broken neck. Upon leaving the hospital and re-entering school, restricted to only the ground floor (no steps, please!), I graduated late in May and entered summer semester at Nebraska Wesleyan and stayed until it was time to come home.

I married in 1977 and settled down into a family of my own. We had our first child in 1980 and our second (both girls) in 1983. We divorced in December of 1989 and went different directions.

I have now been blessed with 5 grand children (I know … makes me sound old, doesn’t it!) and they are a large part of my life today.

I liquidated most all of my assets in 2009, applying the proceeds to the debt load I acquired with the business and I am rebuilding my retirement fund slowly but surely at age of 65. I have found that I have quite a passion for on-line networking, so I have begun a training and learning curve in this arena and have gotten to a point where I actually have some experience to share with others on this same journey, so I have developed this blog to use as a place where other like minded and interested people may get to know, like and trust me. (Let’s see, I’ve heard that phrase somewhere before!) Probably my strongest passion is in the area of Self Development & Personal Growth. I have participated in Tools To Life as well as some other interesting and fulfilling Life Coaching programs and I’d love to share with others the experiences I have had and continue to have in that respect.

So, you are welcome to join me here any time and especially watch for my daily posting. Anything that I experience that has an impact on me in regard to my own personal and career growth & development, I will most likely write about right here on my site for all to read and hopefully receive some form of benefit from the experience as I have.

Other pages on this blog will share some of the passions in my life both past and present. My goal here, with this blog, is to allow you to get to know me, like me and trust me!

Drop back again and see how my journey is progressing. If you would like to comment on this post, please do. Comments are always
